The CFHA School-Based Integrated Care Workgroup, led by Lindsey Overstreet and Ben Hillyard, brings together professionals dedicated to bridging the gap between schools, primary care, and behavioral health. This group explores innovative models, such as the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), PCBH, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and school-based health clinics, to enhance mental health services within school settings. Through shared learning, policy, advocacy, and implementation strategies, the workgroup aims to break down silos and improve access to high-quality, coordinated care for children and adolescents, with a particular focus on the following goals:

  • 1) Identify and Share Best Practices – Gather and share strategies that help schools, clinics, and behavioral health providers work together more effectively in a fragmented system.
  • 2) Find and Organize Key Resources – Collect useful tools, templates, and funding opportunities to support school-based behavioral health programs.

This group will hold its final meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 28th at 11am ET // 10am CT // 9am MT // 8am PT
