Program Overview
The CFHA Financial Assistance Program is designed to provide funds to aspiring and current integrated care professionals from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups. This program aims to support education, training, certification, and career development in the field of integrated care. Applicants must complete and meet all criteria below to be eligible for review and award of CFHA financial assistance through this program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Underrepresented Background: Applicants must affirm, “I am a member of (Insert underrepresented group),” including but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and low-income communities.
- Income-Based Eligibility: Applicants must explain how the funding will help them.
Eligible Funds Uses
Funds awarded are for one year at a time and can be partial amounts should the Review Committee deem appropriate after reviewing the application. Funds are awarded for the following eligible areas of need:
- Educational Support: Funding for CFHA training programs as applicable to the applicant.
- CFHA Membership: Coverage of one year of CFHA membership dues (at a time), can partially fund membership as well, as determined by the Review Committee and/or as requested by the applicant.
- Conference Participation: Registration fees for the annual In-Person Conference and/or Spring Virtual Event

Review Process:
The CFHA Finance Committee and Board of Directors review applications within 30 days of receipt based on eligibility criteria. If the board deems it helpful, the CFHA Just Medicine Committee (JMC) may be consulted to review applicants. Decisions are made within 60 days of receipt of applications, and applicants are notified.
