This cohort-based course prepares clinicians and behavioral health professionals to successfully transition into healthcare startups, digital health companies, and innovation-driven healthcare organizations while maintaining clinical integrity.

As health technology companies and venture-backed healthcare startups increasingly shape the future of care delivery, clinicians are being invited to contribute their expertise in new roles involving product development, clinical strategy, operations, and organizational leadership. However, the transition from traditional clinical environments—such as academic medical centers, nonprofit organizations, or integrated care practices—into startup or product-driven settings can be challenging.

Who should enroll in this course?

Participants should have a foundational clinical background and experience working in healthcare or behavioral health settings. No prior experience in business or technology is required, but familiarity with clinical workflows and patient care is important. The course is ideal for mid-career clinicians or emerging leaders seeking to broaden their influence.

What You Will Learn

Participants will leave with a clearer sense of how to navigate fast-paced healthcare environments without losing their clinical identity or values. They will feel more confident operating at the intersection of clinical care and business strategy, and better equipped to influence decisions that impact patient outcomes. Ultimately, the goal is for participants to feel effective, credible, and aligned in, or prepared for, their new roles. The program includes:

  • 4 Core Learning Sessions
  • 2 Mastermind Group Sessions (following Sessions 1 and 3)
  • 1 Guest Subject Matter Expert (SME) per core session (selected by facilitators)
  • Highly interactive and applied learning
  • Peer discussion and real-world scenario analysis
