The first F&H SIG webinar of 2026 will feature a presentation on working with couples presenting with medical concerns by Lizee Nuñez Love, MS, LMFTA.

Lizee Nuñez Love, MS, LMFTA, Resident in MFT (she/her/ella) is licensed to practice marriage and family therapy under supervision in North Carolina and Virginia. She is also a doctoral student at Virginia Tech in the Human Development program, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, Lizee maintains a small virtual caseload at Callahan Therapy & Consultation, where she works with couples from marginalized communities (LGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, chronic illness). Through Virginia Tech, Lizee is an instructor, graduate research assistant, and doctoral MFT intern. During her master’s program, Lizee completed a medical family therapy internship at UT Southwestern, serving patients and their families across primary care, secondary care, and outpatient mental health sites. Lizee hopes to combine her clinical work and scholarship to achieve social justice and systemic change.

 

The Families and Health SIG General Body Meetings allow for collaboration in scholarship, education/training, practice, and policy for interdisciplinary professionals interested in promoting a family-centered approach in healthcare. Our General Body Meetings offer webinars and community engagement opportunities among professionals in the field.

 

This webinar will be held on Wednesday, February 25th at 4pm ET // 3pm CT // 2pm MT // 1pm PT.
