Workgroup Purpose
Measurement-Based Care Workgroup Charter:
- Support the demonstration of impact of integrated BH programs on medical and financial measures (e.g. ED utilization, inpatient readmissions, and physical health indicators with high mental health co-morbidities) in addition to improved BH outcomes
- Understand what work is currently being done by CFHA members in integrated care to determine value and outcomes
- Identify common barriers and possible solutions to implementation of measurement-based care
- Identify preferred integrated BH measures that would fit well within an MBC approach to integrated care (e.g. brief or feasible measures that can be administered routinely and frequently for a real time, collaborative, feedback discussion by provider and patient to make any necessary changes in treatment)
- Identify ways, or what research would be beneficial, to demonstrate how MBC, an evidence-based practice to improve care, can support or validate value-based care so that payers can routinely reimburse for such practices
- Support and promote the education and use of outcomes measurement across the CFHA community
