Each workgroup is formed around a focused goal, with clear endpoints or deliverables expected as the group’s outcome. These groups require committed leads and consistent participation from members over a set period to ensure progress and impact.

The Georgia IBH Workgroup, led by Andrea Meyer Stinson, aims to connect professionals, build collaboration, establish statewide IBH goals, identify/address IBH barriers, and promote IBH implementation across the state of Georgia.

Measurement-based care is an evidence-based practice that emphasizes a patient-centered and collaborative team approach that aligns with the mission of integrating physical and behavioral health and demonstrates meaningful outcomes of integration efforts on patient populations. The Measurement-Based Care (MBC) workgroup provides a forum to hold relevant discussions, created shared learning opportunities, and offer resources regarding MBC to the CFHA community.

Aligning payment initiatives and integrated care delivery facilitates meaningful, whole-person approaches to serve patients in our communities. The Value-Based Care (VBC) workgroup provides a forum to hold relevant discussions, create shared learning opportunities, and offer recommendations regarding VBC.

The Women’s Leadership Group is a collaborative forum dedicated to empowering and supporting women in navigating challenges while celebrating successes along their leadership journey in Integrated Behavioral Health. Our gatherings foster a space for empowerment, mutual support, and the sharing of triumphs, contributing to the advancement of women’s leadership in our field.

The African Americans in Integrated Care Workgroup is designed for behavioral health clinicians, prescribing providers, administrators, and healthcare leaders who identify as Black or African American and have an interest in Integrated Care. Each meeting session will have a topic and direction. There will also be delegated time to network and welcome open discussion. Some of the group’s initiatives are:
- Peer Support for AA in Integrated Care settings/Retention of AA in Integrated Care
- Workforce Development for College and High School Students
- Addressing History of Oppression in medical and mental health care

The African Americans in Integrated Care Workgroup meets on the 3rd Thursday of every other month (beginning in January) at 1pm ET // 12pm CT // 11am MT // 10am PT.
The CFHA School-Based Integrated Care Workgroup brings together professionals dedicated to bridging the gap between schools, primary care, and behavioral health. This group explores innovative models, such as the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), PCBH, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and school-based health clinics, to enhance mental health services within school settings. Through shared learning, policy, advocacy, and implementation strategies, the workgroup aims to break down silos and improve access to high-quality, coordinated care for children and adolescents, with a particular focus on the following goals:

- 1) Identify and Share Best Practices – Gather and share strategies that help schools, clinics, and behavioral health providers work together more effectively in a fragmented system.
- 2) Find and Organize Key Resources – Collect useful tools, templates, and funding opportunities to support school-based behavioral health programs.

This workgroup, led by Dr. Jonathan Mitchell, is a place for behavioral health faculty working in family medicine residencies to build community, advocate for our needs professionally, and seek consensus on how we can keep moving the field forward.

The Medical Champions for Integrated Care (MChIC) Workgroup was created for medical professionals navigating the challenges of integrating physical and behavioral health care. We understand how exhausting breaking down silos in healthcare can be—because we’re on that journey with you!
