Increasing states are looking at ways they can better integrate mental health, behavioral health, and substance use with primary care. However, to accomplish this level of transformation, there are various state and system level enablers that need to be in place to optimize the state’s likelihood for success. Dr. Mike Hogan, a former mental health commission for three states, will discuss why integration is important for states to pursue and what the key components are for states to consider.
