The Collaborative Family Healthcare Association’s policy initiatives will focus on those which promote social justice and health equity of all kinds, expand the integrated care workforce and enable them to engage families and communities, and promote the integration of behavioral and medical services in fiscal, administrative and health policy initiatives.

Background

There are many changes needed to build a better system to address the behavioral and physical health needs of individuals and families. The failures in our current system are apparent in the exorbitant costs, poor outcomes, lack of access, and increasing demand for services.

CFHA believes we can be most effective in helping to build a better system by focusing our policy and advocacy efforts in two ways: engaging and energizing our members to act locally and magnifying our voice by partnering with other like-minded organizations at the state and national level.

As a 25-year-old national member association, our strength lies in the passion, expertise, and diversity of our members. Our members are able to inform and influence change in their workplaces, training programs, professional organizations, and communities in states across the nation. Together, CFHA members can advocate for changes that impact the lives of their communities.
