Based on attendance at the conference and reviews of the participants, CFHA's 2010 conference was our most successful ever. Highlights of the conference included:
Plenary sessions focused on a collaborative care perspective on U.S. healthcare reform and on ensuring that medical home is truly patient-centered.
Over 60 break-out sessions on the latest science, optimal clinical models, and financial best practices of collaborative family healthcare.
Numerous new opportunities for mentoring, networking, and recreating at the conference.
Perhaps the most exciting news is that the conference was a very successful draw for new CFHA members. Half of the attendees had never attended a CFHA conference previously and our total membership increased by over 30% since we opened conference registration in June. In fact, prior to 2010 we had never had more than 376 members and by the end of the conference we had reached 458! We extend a warm welcome to our new members.
We wish our deepest gratitude to our conference co-chairs: Mary Jo Dike, Baretta Casey, and Sheila Schuster, for their excellent work in planning the conference.
We'll see you next year in Philadelphia, PA on October 27-29, 2011.
