Electronic Submissions

The following information will be needed for workshop, poster, research, lecture/discussion, and interactive panel electronic submissions. The Call for Presentations and on-line submission form are now available on the CFHA Web site: www.CFHA.net. Only on-line submissions will be considered.

Submission guidelines:
  • Submissions must be electronically submitted no later than March 31, 2006. (Late submissions will not be considered.)
  • ALL submissions MUST be electronically submitted through www.CFHA.net .
  • Submission forms must explicitly follow the directions for the proposed category and must be complete.
  • All presenters must e-mail their CVs to Diane Vacarra at diane.vacarra@informausa.com using the presentation title in the “subject line” of the e-mail. Please send all CVs in one e-mail (per submission).
  • Submissions will be subject to a peer review. The lead presenter will be notified if the submission is accepted. H/She is responsible for notifying other presenters, if necessary. Presenters listed agree to present if their submission is accepted.
NOTE: All presenters are required to pay the registration fee.

II. Category of Submission

Interactive Panel. Provide a forum for three to five 15 – 20 minute presentations on a common theme followed by discussion between presenters and audience.

Workshop. Provide a group educational experience directed towards the understanding of specific clinical, research or educational skills and methods. Time: 1.5 hours

Lecture-discussion. Provide a forum for focused didactic presentation and discussion of a topic. These topics may include clinical, research, administrative, or education issues. Presentations will be 45 minutes (35 min. presentation, 10 min. discussion).

Brief research presentation. Present a 20 minute review of research – abstract, hypothesis, methodology, results and a short discussion.

Poster. Present innovative clinical, research, or teaching projects designed to stimulate dialogue and feedback from participants. Students and trainees are highly encouraged to participate. Time: 1.5 hours
Poster presenters will:

  1. Be available to make a brief report during Poster Fair hours.
  2. Prepare a one-page handout for distribution to conference attendees.
  3. Mount a 4x4 visual presentation that will be on display during Poster Fair hours.
